The American students brought up Pizza, burgers, and wings, while the Chinese Students thought of chains like KFC, and the actual utensils used (fork and knife).
I think that maybe this is because KFC is prevalent around Honghe university.
What kind of restaurants are around your college campus? Is it different from your home town?
A lot of what the American students mentioned, the Chinese students also mentioned. The biggest difference in answers was that the Chinese students also mentioned characteristics of how we eat; for example, fast, fork, knife, and simple.
How often do you eat American food? What is your favorite American food?

我们学校里有回族食堂，汉族食堂，其中有一些菜色在我们家乡也有，但是还是有一些不同，这边的凉菜偏向酸甜，而我们家乡的则偏向酸辣

It is very interesting to see that few of you have even had American food, and even then, do not eat a lot of it. My favorite food is steak. I do not like hamburgers or KFC that much even though they are typical to America.
