Discussion

It seems that for both cultures an important aspect of a good job is its emotional value, its satisfaction. Interestingly the majority of responses from the students in the United States included some requirement of pay - that the job had to pay well- whereas the italian students never even mentioned money. This raises an interesting contrast as to how important money vs. satisfaction is for the different cultures. Since we can assume that a good job is one that gives you happiness, we can further expand this contrast to study how important is the role of money in the people's happiness for both cultures. is happiness something that's received more from good company and priceless experiences or is it something that you can buy from money?

You're right. From the answers we can note this difference. But like me in Italian answers the productivity of a good job is more implicit than in American answers, but also here there is. I can do this conclusion from someone answers that says "ti ripaga sempre" (it always repay you) or "ti assicura una vita dignitosa".

The role of money in the people's happiness is always an help and without this there are many more problems, but I think it's not indispensable. I think the pay of a job is as important for both cultures.
