Discussion

Hey I am having trouble finding out how "Buen Cara" is associated with "time". Could you explain this to me, please?

Is "buena cara" a cultural expression?

Generally, Costa Rica seems to perceive time as a precious or valuable thing. It appears that Costa Ricans try to appreciate and worry about the present time.

In the United States, people are more concerned about not having enough time to get things done, but the things that need to get done are usually for the future. Therefore, it seems we worry more about the time in the future rather than the time we are living now.
