Someone on the street asks you for money.

En la calle alguien te pide dinero.

I ignore him/her, maybe nodding my head and continue walking

I wonder if the money I'm giving them will be used for drugs.

I would be a little frightened and not give any money

I would be frightened and perhaps evade them.

I would first look at the person and get an idea if that person really needs the money or is just going to use it to buy alcohol or drugs.

I would give them any spare change in my pockets.

I would ignore them and pretend I didn't hear them, unless I happened to be carrying a $1 bill.

I would keep walking, possibly say I don't have any cash on me.

I would respond by saying I don't have money on me.

Observe the way they look, at times they may be needy but others might only want the money for alcohol or drugs. For the most part, politely decline and walk away.

This person is most-likely going to use my money for drugs.
