I found it interesting that in the French film the men did not bring Marie to work with them in order to make up for times when no one could watch her at home. However, each of the men in the American film took a turn taking her to his job. It was also interesting that the American men got a lot of positive attention from people when they had the baby. Were the French characters avoiding possible negative reactions?

But is the workplace an appropriate place for a baby? I mean, cute pink helmet or no, a construction site is no place for an enfant.
